Love Stories: Engagement Photoshoot at Harlestone Firs in Northamptonshire

Ahhh I do love an Autumnal photoshoot! With the warm colors, crisp air and beautiful sunsets, it’s the perfect time of year to schedule in your engagement shoot.

In this blog post, i’m sharing some of Lloyd and Karina’s engagement snaps taken at Harlestone Firs in Northamptonshire. It’s fair to say that they were a little camera-shy, but wanted some beautiful photos to celebrate their engagement and to be used for their wedding invitations and website. This shoot was all about keeping things fun and authentic, with minimal posing.

Harlestone Firs, Northamptonshire

Harlestone Firs is a great backdrop for an engagement photoshoot. The dense forest provides a cozy setting with plenty of opportunities to get away from the crowds - and what’s more, it’s beautiful ALL YEAR ROUND.

With their upcoming wedding abroad, they wanted engagement photos that celebrated their autumn engagement. Our goal was to keep them feeling relaxed, without making them feel award infront of the camera.

From the moment we arrived at Harlestone Firs, it was clear that this shoot would be a fun one. Rather than staged poses and forced smiles, I encouraged Lloyd and Karina to just hang out and be themselves; to laugh, to be silly, and to enjoy the walk through the countryside with their dog, Rolo.

Photographing Lloyd and Karina's engagement in Harlestone Firs during the autumn season was not just about creating beautiful images. It was about making them feel at ease, showcasing the magic of Northamptonshire's autumn, and making the whole experience as cringe-free as possible. As a photographer in Northamptonshire, I love working with friendly, fun couples so if you’re in the market for an engagement shoot or wedding photography - drop me a message!
